We ordered crabs, calamari, and large shrimp. Crabs 🦀 were good but lacked in seasoning. Calamari was good. Didn't get the chance to try the shrimp. We were served our food in record time. The waitress forgot about our soup.

No seasoning...not even Old Bay on any of the seafood pot my daughter ordered. It included steamed shrimp, mussels, crab legs and blue crab. No seasoning at all. Yet her friend had two lobster tails that were sprinkled with Old Bay. We had two non-seafood eaters at the table. We ordered a steak and cheese and chicken fingers. The steak and cheese had no cheese. None. It was literally just ground meat and bread. No seasoning, no onion, peppers...nothing. Just dry bread and meat. When we asked for cheese, they brought out some cold provolone, and lettuce on a plate. I'm just really shocked. Our meal came to over $300 and it was a waste of money. The waitress was sweet and the atmosphere pleasant. But the food and presentation was garbage.

First time at Higgins and it did not disappoint! My boyfriend's mom and stepdad have been coming here for more than 20 years. They're always raving about this place and it far exceeded my expectations.
Firstly, service was exceptional. Our server Nahomi was at the top of her game. It was a busy night for her but she still made sure to keep our crabs coming. She always made sure we were good on everything and cleared out our discard bucket right when it gets full. She's funny and personable too. Thank you Nahomi for taking care of us!
The food was no slouch either. Everything was fantastic. We had some Pina Coladas to drink. For food, we ordered the BBQ Rib Sampler, a dozen oysters, and I personally ordered the Alaskan Snow Crab + Shrimp AYCE. The AYCE option comes with corn, hush puppies, coleslaw, and fried chicken. Obviously the crab did not disappoint but everything else tasted just as amazing. The fried chicken and BBQ sampler surprised me because they were both so tender and delicious even though it came from a specialty seafood restaurant. The oysters were fresh I could've eaten 50 by myself. I'm already dreaming of coming back.
